The DR333 was designed for Stoner Communications Inc. by Comer Communications Inc. www.radiocomms.cc . The hardware design was done by Brian Comer KF6C and the software was written by Alan Comer KA6PPC. There were not to many of these radio built due to the discontinuation of the Plessey SL6700.
Comer Communications went on to build the R232 eight channel DF receiver which was based on the DR333 but only output the eight 455 KHz IFs for digital signal processing. The R232 did not use the SL6700 but used and digitally controlled AD600 for the IFs.
