2005 ARRL 10 GHz and Up Contest
KF6C and WD6FWE operated from Mount San Jacinto, 33:48:52 116:40:46, DM13pt, for the first weekend of this contest August 20-21, 2005 . This mountain is 10,804 feet high with what looked to be good paths to most of California and parts of Arizona, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, Colorado and Mexico. Conditions on the weekend were not to good and results were poor.
WE called CQ frequently on 10368.222 MHz with close to zero responses, however we also called CQ on frequencies 5 KHz from stations in QSOs with others; this generated a much better response.
