Our 10GHz equipment worked very well. We were able to monitor both ends of many QSOs on the 10 GHz band and had very good reports from many of the stations that we worked.. Conditions did not allow us to work into Flagstaff or northern California. We did work Mexico on CW at a time when condition were not that good. Their signal strength   had been much stronger at a earlier time.

Initially we were unable to set up contacts via the Cactus system. The radios VX-7R radios for 450 had all the pl tones programmed but not turn on. Once the tones were turned on we able to access the Cactus system but were not to successful in setting up contacts .

Other problems

The cellular phone batteries were dead when we reached the top of the mountain, despite being fully charged and turned off before out departure from San Marcos.
